A Fun Way to Spend a Sunday Afternoon

Want to take a break from holiday shopping?

Try a trip to MoMA where new exhibitions include  Inventing Abstraction, 1910–1925, a centennial celebration of a bold new art form, and Christian Marclay‘s 24-hour film montage The Clock, including a special New Year‘s Eve showing of this cinematic tour de force. On the fourth floor, Robert Rauschenberg‘s landmark painting Canyon—recently donated to the Museum—is on view, and on December 7, the playful Shadow Monsters installation returns to the Marron Atrium, in which the shadow gestures of viewers of all ages become animated “monsters.”

And don’t miss Edvard Munch’s “The Scream,” here until April 29, 2013.
